S1W1 Nailed It! Camp Style – Have you always wanted to try and recreate some of those amazing foods you see on TV?  Then “Nailed It! Camp Style” is for you.  During our fun-filled week we will have challenges, just like on the TV show where campers will try to re-create edible masterpieces.  Will you be able to say you nailed it?

S1W2 The Mix-up Making Camp – Calling all young pastry chefs: Life is too short to not eat dessert first!  If you love to bake, invent new cupcake flavors, or decorate cakes, this lip-smacking camp is for you.  Campers will have a delicious time making a variety of cookies, cakes, pies, and brownies, all while whipping up batches of fun.  All recipes will be compiled into a keepsake cookbook to take home.  Talk about yummy fun!

S1W3 Small Eats and Big Treats Camp- Do you walk in the house after school looking for something to eat?  Are you tired of the same old snacks day after day?  Then we’ve got the camp for you!  Welcome to Small Eats and Big Treats Camp!  Every day we will explore easy recipes for snacks and small meals you can make yourself.  By the end of the week you will have collections of recipes to share with your family and friends.  Join us and let’s get snackin’.

S1W4 Pie in the Sky Bake-off Camp- It’s baking time!  Whether cakes or cookies, pies or more…join us for baking GALORE!  Each day will be different techniques, including following a recipe, using a mixer, kneading, rolling and shaping dough!  Every day will also include cool challenges!  All of this fun experience will be put to good use at the end of the week for our bake-off.  We will have a competition with guest judges to award winners and it just might be you!

S2W1 The Kid’s Table: Cooking 101 Camp – This week campers will learn the answers to questions like: what’s the best way to use a knife? How long does it take for water to boil? What is good kitchen cleanliness? Can you put a hardboiled egg in the microwave?  During the week campers will learn their way around a kitchen, learn basic cooking methods, and simple recipes.  By the end of this week, campers will be able to create a meal for their family and friends! So let’s get cooking!

S2W2 Paint Your Cake and Eat It Too – Campers will take field trips to places like the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Janice Charach Gallery.  Campers will carry sketch books, make thumbnail sketches of pieces that inspire them, and create works back at camp based on what they saw!  Campers will get to use paint, colored pencil, oil pastel, chalk pastel, and pen and ink.

S2W3 Camp Cupcake- Cupcakes are a crowd favorite.  Campers will come up with their own crazy flavor combinations using different tools and techniques.  Every day campers will explore the wonderful world of cupcakes from baking basics, measuring, mixing, baking, and frosting.

S2W4 Restaurant Camp- Whether you dream of owning a restaurant that serves burgers and fries or running a gourmet bistro in Paris, this camp is certain to be a tasty treat.  Campers will name their restaurant, plan their own menus, and cook up delicious meals that family and friends are invited to enjoy at the restaurant’s “Grand Opening” on Friday.  It is sure to be a fun and exciting experience for everyone!
