For campers who enjoy skill-building camps, we offer a choice of seven different specialty tracks.  Campers can register for a variety of interests one week at a time, or follow a specific track for a portion of the summer. All specialty camps are age-appropriate, taught by instructors and trained professionals who specialize in those areas of interest. 

Campers spend mornings developing skills in their specialty area, and then enjoy afternoons filled with swimming and other elective activities. (Some camps include skill-building in the afternoon as well.) 

Weekly Camps- $500 per week. Take advantage of a discount for more weeks registered! Save $25 a week when you register for more than 4 weeks (up to $175 off).

Adventure Camp

(3-6 Grade)

Week 1 (June 27-July 1)- Splash Camp Have a new aquatic adventure every day! Visit water parks such as Red Oaks, and to Zehnder’s Splash Village. Enjoy lake activities including beach time and bounce activities, in places such as Jump Island and Kensington Beach. All water activities are supervised by certified lifeguards. Trips may change due to weather and availability.  *Transportation and all fees included. Max capacity is 16 campers. * The day at Zehnder’s Splash Village will be a late pick-up. Week 2 (July 5-8)- Ropes CampNavigate real and imaginary obstacles, while taking on the mental, physical and emotional challenges of these eco-friendly high ropes courses and climbing activities. Connect with nature, build confidence, and learn the values of planning and teamwork. Spend the week at Tree Runner Adventure Park in West Bloomfield with their professionally trained staff. Week 3 (July 11-15)- Ninja Warrior Camp- Partnering with Grit Obstacle Training the campers will be able to test their skills on numerous obstacles. Young ninjas are coached through different obstacles and work to develop core, agility, balance, strength, and overall confidence so that they can conquer obstacles both in and out of the gym. *Transportation and all fees included. Some places we may visit are CJ Barrymore’s, Dave and Busters, Detroit Zoo, and other fun places around the Metro Detroit area. Week 7 (August 8-12)- Battle Camp- Ready, Set, Fire! Roll up your sleeves for an all-out battle…camp style! Campers will travel to places such as Zap Zone for some laser tag, and Launch to play a game of dodge ball. A water balloon battle, capture the flag, and a nerf gun battle may also be on the roster. *Transportation and all fees included. Max capacity is 16 campers.

Week 8 (August 15-19)- Around the Town- Get ready to jump on the bus and explore! Some places we may visit are CJ Barrymore’s, Dave and Busters, Detroit Zoo, and other fun places around the Metro Detroit area. Cooking Camp (3-6 Grade)

Week 5 (July 25-29) -Restaurant Camp- Whether you dream of owning a restaurant that serves burgers and fries or running a gourmet bistro in Paris, this camp is certain to be a tasty treat. Campers will name their restaurant, plan their own menus, and cook up delicious meals that family and friends are invited to enjoy at the restaurant’s “Grand Opening” on Friday. Week 6 (August 1-5)-Small Eats Big Treats-Do you walk in the house after school looking for something to eat? Are you tired of the same old snacks day after day? Then we’ve got the camp for you! Welcome to Small Eats and Big Treats Camp! Every day we will explore easy recipes for snacks and small meals you can make yourself. By the end of the week, you will have a collection of recipes to share with your family and friends. Join us and let’s get snackin’. 

Week 7 (August 8-12)- Cooking 101- Campers will learn the answers to questions like How long does it take for water to boil? What is good kitchen cleanliness? Can you put a hardboiled egg in the microwave? During the week campers will learn their way around a kitchen, learn basic cooking methods, and simple recipes. By the end of this week, campers will be able to create a meal for their family and friends! So let’s get cooking!  

Week 8 (August 15-19)- Camp Bake Off- It’s baking time! Whether cakes or cookies, pies or more… join us for baking GALORE! Each day will be different techniques, including following a recipe, using a mixer, oven times, kneading, rolling, and shaping dough! Every day will also include cool challenges! All of this fun experience will be put to good use at the end of the week for our bake-off. We will have a competition with guest judges to award winners and it just might be you! STEM Camp (3-6 Grade)

Week 1 (June 27-July 1)Minecraft Camp- Campers have the freedom to choose their Minecraft world! Lots of fun games for team-building or competitive, always social – it’s all about the interaction within the game. The minimum for this camp is 8.

Week 2 (July 5-8)- Ooey Gooey- Campers will spend each day getting messy and doing fun science/art/cooking projects. Other activities that encourage getting a little messy as well, like shaving cream tag, face painting, and water balloons. This week is currently full. Week 3 (July 11-15)- LEGO- Kids will be able to build and explore new ways to build and use legos. The campers will have opportunities to build and create whatever they want, we will create structured builds, and everyday campers will participate in lego building challenges where they will work together to build fantastic creations. 

Week 4 (July 18-22)- Fantasy- Campers will be creating projects and learning games with themes like star wars, Marvel/DC, Harry Potter, medieval, wizards, mythological creatures, magic, knights and dragons, superheroes and villains, and more. 

Week 5 (July 25-29)- All Things Science- Campers will spend the whole week exploring and doing experiments from many categories of science such as earth science, chemistry, astronomy, and biology.

Sports Camp (3-6 Grade)

Week 1 (June 27-July 1)-Basketball- Campers come and participate in a summer skills and drills basketball camp with Coach Joe of the Detroit Pistons Academy! Players will work on the fundamentals of basketball as well as compete in contests and scrimmages. The goal is to enjoy the game of basketball and improve your confidence and ability within the game. 

Performing Arts Camp

(5-9 Grade)

This 4-week (July 25- August 19) session of the Performing Arts Camp offers children the opportunity to be a part of full-scale theatre production. From acting work to choreography and voice training to “behind the scene” opportunities, each component of this camp helps to build self-esteem as well as confidence. This year’s production will be Suessical the Musical Jr.!

Jr. Specialty Camp

(1-2 Grade)

Week 1 (June 27- July 1)- Ooey Gooey-Campers will spend each day getting messy and doing fun science/art/cooking projects. Week 5 (July 25-29)- Art – The 1970’s spurred the advent of earth art, continued the Pop Art movement, and was filled with groovy stylistic elements. We will explore drawing, painting, sculpture, found object art, and much more! Max capacity is 16 campers.

Week 6 (August 1-5)- Lego Camp- Kids will be able to build and explore new ways to build and use legos. The campers will have opportunities to build and create whatever they want, we will create structured builds, and everyday campers will participate in lego building challenges where they will work together to build fantastic creations. Week 7 (August 8-12)- Bug’s Life- Does your camper like creepy crawlers?  This camp is for all of the bug-loving campers!  Catch bugs in the wild and learn all about them! Max capacity is 16 campers.

Week 8 (August 15-19)- Sports- Campers will learn and play a different sport each day with a guest coach from around Metro-Detroit! Max capacity is 16 campers.
